Mount Toro High School

Multi-Use Building

In 2017, Salinas Union High School District approached Peartree+Belli Architects with multiple needs at its Mount Toro High School campus, among them food service capability, a multi-purpose/cafeteria space and daycare functions for student-parents. We were able to address all these needs within the confines of one building footprint, completed and occupied in 2019. The building’s form was focused on presenting a new design element to the campus where it sits along a major road, but with materiality strongly influenced by original campus structures.
